AgroThrive announced on Apr. 21 that every purchase made during the week of April 20 to April 27 will help provide an equal amount of AgroThrive organic fertilizer to farmers participating in the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) Foundation’s Organic Transition Program.

The initiative aims to support farmers who are transitioning their operations to organic practices, a process that requires significant time and resources. The CCOF Foundation provides educational, technical, and financial assistance to help these farmers adopt organic methods and advance sustainable agriculture.

Organic farming is known for its benefits such as restoring soil health, reducing pollution, and strengthening food systems against climate change. However, the transition period typically lasts three years during which farmers must use organic practices without receiving premium prices for their crops. Covering the cost of organic inputs during this period can be challenging for many growers.

Through this Earth Week “Get One, Give One” campaign, AgroThrive will donate an equivalent amount of its General Purpose formula and Fruit & Flower formula fertilizers directly to CCOF Foundation farmers for every bottle purchased by customers. Last year, the AgroThrive community donated 562 gallons of organic fertilizer through similar efforts.

The company said it hopes that with continued community support this year’s campaign will have an even greater impact in assisting more transitioning farmers. The program emphasizes that each acre converted to organic farming contributes positively toward environmental sustainability.
