Cover crop field day in San Lucas to feature demonstrations and expert talks

A field day focused on cover crops will take place on December 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at 54740 Cattlemen Rd in San Lucas, California. The event is organized by L.A. Hearne Co. and aims to showcase more than 20 different cover crop varieties.

The field day will include presentations by Tom Hearne of L.A. Hearne Co., Karse Giudici and Keston Giudici, both Certified Crop Advisers at L.A. Hearne Co., and Michael Cahn, a University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Farm Advisor. Topics will cover general information about cover crops, review of field data, as well as discussions on winter and summer cover crops planted on beds.

Attendees are encouraged to register for the event using the QR code provided in the flyer. Lunch will be provided during the event.
