Grimmway Produce Group announced on Feb. 18 the launch of its new Organic Bite-Size Potato Program under the Cal-Organic Farms label, introducing a year-round line of premium, convenient potatoes for retailers and consumers.

The new product line aims to expand Cal-Organic’s portfolio and provide more options in the organic potato category. The company said the bite-size potatoes are certified organic and grown in the United States, with a focus on quality and freshness. Each variety is packaged in a mesh pillow pack designed to highlight product freshness and improve shelf visibility.

The program features six offerings, including gold, red, medley bite-size and fingerling potatoes, as well as nibbles—a novelty item intended for shoppers looking for something different. The company said these varieties are suitable for various meal occasions and are intended to meet the needs of today’s organic consumer while supporting growth for retail partners.

“This bite-size potato program delivers the convenience, flavor, and year-round reliability Cal-Organic is known for, while bringing new energy and innovation to the organic potato category,” said Drew Callaghan, SVP Retail Sales, Grimmway Produce Group.

Callaghan also said that retailers can display the new line within the traditional potato section or use secondary locations such as meat departments or near other convenience-focused produce items to encourage impulse sales. The products will be available for order starting March 9 with full nationwide distribution expected throughout early 2026. The line will also be showcased at booth 114 at SEPC Southern Exposure.
