Pollinator plant list highlights species to support bees and butterflies

Narrowleaf milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis), showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa), and blue stocking bee balm (Monarda didyma ‘Blue Stocking’) are among the plants listed in the latest pollinator plant list released on January 7, 2026. Other species included are coyote mint (Monardella villosa ‘Russian River’), desert penstemon (Penstemon superbus, pink form), brown eyed Susan (Rudbeckia triloba), California bee plant (Scrophularia californica), California goldenrod (Solidago velutina ssp. californica), pink globemallow (Sphaeralcea incisa), and red buckwheat (Eriogonum grande var. rubescens).

These plants are identified as beneficial for supporting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
