The CCOF Foundation announced on April 8 that it will host the Roots & Vines wine tasting event at Earthbound Farm Stand. The event aims to bring together supporters, growers, and industry leaders for an afternoon focused on organic agriculture and community engagement.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the CCOF Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting programs that advance organic agriculture and provide resources to farmers. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste local and organic wines, connect with farmers and professionals in the industry, tour farm grounds independently, and participate in a silent auction.

The wine tasting will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. For guests traveling from Monterey, transportation will be provided with buses departing from Portola Hotel for a short ride to the venue. Each ticket costs $175, with all proceeds going directly toward foundation initiatives such as hardship relief for organic farmers and expanding educational programs.

Organizers say Roots & Vines offers both long-time supporters of organic farming and newcomers a chance to learn more about sustainable practices while supporting ongoing efforts in California and beyond. The foundation encourages interested participants to secure tickets early due to limited space.

The broader impact of this fundraising event is expected to support not only immediate relief but also long-term growth in regenerative agriculture practices.
