UC ANR Innovate has launched a new website that brings together its various programs, including The VINE, the Farm Robotics Challenge, The Plant, BioCircular Valley, and the California AgTech Alliance. The initiative aims to connect people, ideas, and resources to help move agricultural innovation from research into practical use.

According to UC ANR Innovate, the program has expanded in recent years from a few pilot projects to a broad portfolio covering technology development, workforce training, shared infrastructure, and statewide coordination. “We’ve hosted field days where startups demo for growers. We’ve trained students to build robots that solve real farm problems. We’ve secured funding to develop pilot-scale facilities where food and biotech companies can test and scale,” the team stated.

The organization noted that previously, information about these efforts was scattered across different websites, making it difficult for users to understand how the pieces fit together. “This site fixes that,” UC ANR Innovate said.

The new website offers information on each program’s purpose and participation opportunities. It also features a blog with updates and stories from across the portfolio, an events section listing upcoming field days and workshops, and contact details for those interested in engaging with California’s agricultural innovation ecosystem.

Looking ahead to 2026, UC ANR Innovate plans to launch the California AgTech Alliance in nine regions of the state. Other initiatives include moving The Plant project into pre-development and expanding both the Farm Robotics Challenge and VINE Connect field days throughout California.

UC ANR Innovate encourages those interested in staying informed or getting involved to subscribe to their newsletter or reach out directly. “Welcome aboard,” concluded the UC ANR Innovate Team.
